Hey BlogFollowers!
It's me again.... As all you guys have known... There is conflict in Lagos, Nigeria right as we speak. So far 230+ female students in the town of Chibok, Nigeria were kidnapped in the dead of the night by armed militants. The militants were from the Islamist Terrorist group Boko Karam.
Luckily, about 3 dozen girls escaped on their own. The girls, were forced out of their beds and into trucks and they disappeared into the sense forests that border near Cameroon.
The Nigerian's civilians have rallied non-stop in criticizing the Nigerian Government for the lack of rescue efforts. Many mothers, fathers and Nigerians have faceted in Abuja, Nigeria's capital and protested to bring the girls back home on Wednesday. The following day, they gathered in Lagos.
Chibok residents have trekked into the forests in search of their daughters and on motorbikes... It took an estimated nine hours and the distraught residents haven't seen any militants at all, said Enoch Mark who's daughter was one of the kidnapped.
230 parents have registered their daughters' names of the kidnapped, said Principal of the Government Girl's Secondary School Asabe Kwambura. Fortunately, forty-three girls managed to escape the premises and now there are one hundred and eighty seven daughters and students missing.
